I don't play World of Warcraft though, so - i'm going to a bit lost. I can try and get myself into some conversations that doesn't involve WoW.

I'm 18 years old, from South Shields. Over the river from Nic and Steve, potentially in between sunderland and newcastle. Luckilly i think of it as a sandwich. But, i tend to say i'm from Newcastle because being from Sunderland is just shameful.

It's the same reason you hate being spied on. That and i feel Xfire is a complete waste of harddisk space, i mean thats like go out and PAY for being spied on.

I think your paranoid, you don't get spied on when you use xfire.

It uses command lines a type of "keylogger" to track your .exe and track your time.

It's all safe, they wouldn't use it if it wasn't. It's got about 13 million users using it, minus the alternate accounts/banned accounts.

Oh and, if you think xfire is spying on you? You have an IP Address which every site can see and can easily have the knowledge to "hack" into your PC and then "spy" on you.

But, that doesn't happen!

Sure websites might have my IP but, they can't just "hack" my pc like that, because first you need the knowledge to hack it. Its not like the movies where they run a program and then the pc is automatically hacked. And also thats completely different because, I'm sure you can't tell my IP apart from the 35235732 other ips logged, let alone connect the ip to me in real life, they can with Xfire though.

Also Xfire's only function to me, seem to tracking your play time, and as you said before yourself it uses a "keylogger". So in other words it's completely useless spyware, why would I ever waste computer resources on that? Just because 13 million people use it doesn't mean its still a smart thing to use, I mean look at Facebook. And in my own personal experience the majority of humanity is stupid.

Facebook/myspace or "gayspace" as it's known are useless.

But yeah, it's up to you in the end i can't persuade you if you've got your mind set to not using it.

Well you havnt really told me the other functions of Xfire than being spyware . But yeah youre pretty much right. id rather sit in Techsupport(hell) than using Xfire.
